The first major press event within the framework of the EU•COTTON promotional campaign took place in Helsinki, Finland on Friday, April 4. The event was graced by the presence of the Chargé d’Affaires of the Greek Embassy, Mr. Dimitrios Karakonstantis, while the audience, which consisted of journalists, social media influencers and representatives of local fashion brands, was addressed by:
- Ali Harlin Professor/Researcher, D.Sc, specializing in sustainability and cotton
- Efthimios Fotinos, President of the Inter-Branch Organisation of Greek Cotton (DOV)
- Antonios Siarkos, Vice President of the Inter-Branch Organisation of Greek Cotton (DOV) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SIARKOS S.A. Cotton – Ginning Mills
- Dimitrios Polychronos, Member of the Board of Directors of the Inter-Branch Organisation of Greek Cotton (DOV) and head of the NAFPAKTOS TEXTILE INDUSTRY S.A.
After the presentations, one-to-onediscussions and interviews of the president of the DOV and the other representatives of EU•COTTON with journalists from Finnish media followed.
At the same time, a very constructive B2B dinner was held, aiming at further completion of aims been set by the promotional action.
