About the campaign

The EUCOTTON campaign is an ambitious European initiative that aims to promote European cotton production in three European target countries: Denmark, Sweden, and Finland.  

The campaign is funded by the European Union and organized by the Inter-Branch Organisation of Greek Cotton (DOV), the implementing body of the EU COTTON 2024-2027 program.

Under the motto: "European Sustainable Cotton – Cultivating the Future", the three-year campaign was launched in October 2024 and will be completed in September 2027. The objective is to raise awareness among consumers, opinion leaders, and key actors in the textile industry regarding:

The campaign aims to highlight the sustainable aspects of EU Cotton through information provision and promotion measures, by placing emphasis on its value in the target countries and enhancing its recognition value as a model of quality and responsibility.

Campaign objectives

The EU COTTON 2024-2027 campaign sets ambitious objectives, with a view to achieving significant results for consumers and professionals alike:

Consumer awareness

A significant percentage of consumers that will be reached by the campaign will gain new insight into:

  1. Sustainable cotton production.

  2. GMO-free production practices.

  3. Commitment to social and environmental responsibility.

Adoption of sustainable practices by professionals

A significant percentage of professionals will consciously integrate sustainable European Cotton into their practices, using the knowledge and understanding acquired through the campaign.

The EUCOTTON campaign aims to establish a new model of production and consumption that will enhance sustainability and quality in the European textile industry.
